Full Gospel Fellowship Church was established by the Lord Jesus Christ on September 12, 1989,we are an affiliate of Full Gospel Assemblies International of Parkesburg, Pa. Its beginning was a Bible study, meeting twice a week in a storefront located at the De Paolo Building in West Hazleton with Pastor Eleanor Del Balso, and in 1991 due to growth and the Lord's directing, was dedicated as a church, under the direction, of the late Dr. Charles and Annamae Strauser. As the ministry continued to grow, there was a need to move so we moved to a larger place, and that location was behind Ernie's Steakhouse, and the church remained there for eleven years. In the year 2000, the Lord gave us the vision to build 'His House'. There is much testimony of the Lord's hand at each step. That no man can get the glory for the church building, but the Lord Himself. The building was completed in 2006 and is dedicated to the Lord's work and teaching of His word...
We have continued to see the Lord's hand on His ministry as He has added to the body...and we have experienced the growth in our own walk with Jesus...
'A Study of the Word of God, a weekly Bible Study was on WAZL 1490 AM Sunday mornings at 7:30am since 1990 until 2009. Ministering to those in the community. On January 21, 2010, 'A Study of the Word of God' moved to WYLN-TV 35 on Sunday at 5pm.. The program has two parts, the first a Bible Study .. the second half a time of testimony where one shares how they came to know Christ as their Savior... We have heard from many in community for prayer request and questions about the Bible, we look forward as the Lord sends those across our path.
Since 1991, we have also been a Extension Campus of Full Gospel Bible Institute, which is a 3 year Diploma Bible School that trains up men and women in the Word and also for ministry. The only book required is the Bible. Classes are from September to May.
Since 1991, we have been going to Dallas Prison in Dallas, Pa. taking the Gospel and ministering to those in church behind the wall. Every Mother's Day we have had the privlege to minister at Dallas, as well going there several Wednesday nights a year.
A new ministry was birthed in 2009, and that is the Outreach Ministry, taking our 20 x 20 tent to the Interstate wherever the door of ministry has been open by the Lord... there are those who serve the free coffee and well as other items, with warm smiles... just showing the love of Jesus.. to all who stop in. We are so thankful for this ministry, as we have met people from all over the world.. passing through Pennsylvania.. taking a break..
